About Me
I’m a Chartered Physiotherapist and and Chair of the CSP East Midlands Network. But my journey didn’t start with clarity or confidence. In 2012, as an overseas qualified Physio in the UK, I was sitting in a small studio flat, applying for 25–30 jobs a day. No shortlists. No interviews. No guidance. I believed more applications would lead to success, but I felt stuck, overwhelmed, and unsure what to do differently.
Everything changed when I stopped applying blindly, found the right mentor (Vicky), and adopted a clear, strategic framework. By focusing on clarity, confidence, and purposeful networking, I secured my first NHS Physio role for 3 months, and then progressed to a substantive Band 6 Senior Physio position, and later moved from clinical practice into Regional Leadership and Management roles within the NHS.
Based on my early struggles and 14 years of experience in the NHS and Private, I developed a clear 3‑Step Career Strategy Framework to support Physiotherapists who find themselves in the same position I was in years ago — repeatedly applying, feeling overlooked, and unsure what to change. This framework is designed to help you gain clarity, build confidence, and take focused action towards the right clinical or leadership role.
I’m also the Author of 'Leadership Guide for Physiotherapists' book, designed to help Physios build influence, confidence, and leadership capability beyond clinical practice.
