A Practical Guide to Working as a Physiotherapist in the NHS Do you have the clinical knowledge but still feel unprepared to work in the NHS?

Many internationally trained, newly qualified and returning physiotherapists believe they need more clinical CPD before applying for NHS jobs. In reality, one of the biggest challenges is understanding how the NHS works and how physiotherapists deliver care within its systems, processes and multidisciplinary teams. This practical course has been designed to bridge that gap.

Drawing on over 14 years of NHS physiotherapy experience and senior NHS leadership roles, this course provides a practical introduction to the NHS working environment. You'll gain an understanding of the patient journey, multidisciplinary team working, documentation, clinical systems, outcome measures, equipment, referral pathways and what NHS employers expect from physiotherapists. This is not a clinical skills course. Instead, it will help you understand the NHS way of working so you can feel more confident when volunteering, shadowing, applying for jobs or preparing for interviews.
